The Union County Utilities Authority has awarded the contracts listed below, without competitive bidding, as professional services pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-5(1)(a). These contracts are being awarded after a solicitation through a Fair and Open Process in accordance N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.4 et seq.
The contracts, and the resolutions authorizing them, are available for public inspection during regular business hours, in the office of the Clerk of the Union County Utilities Authority, 1499 Route 1&9 North, Rahway, New Jersey.
The following contracts have been awarded for a period commencing on February 15, 2023 and continuing through the Authority’s next reorganization meeting in February 2024, upon the terms and conditions, including the hourly rates, set forth therein.
- Hindsight, Inc., as the Authority’s Manager Service Provider (MSP), to perform Information Technology services as needed by the Authority in an amount not to exceed $31,725.00.00.
- Cleary, Giacobbe, Alfieri, Jacobs, LLC to perform Solid Waste Counsel services as needed by the Authority in an amount not to exceed $25,000.00.
- Business, & Government Insurance Agency (BGIA) to perform Insurance consultation services as needed by the Authority in connection with the Authority’s participation in the New Jersey Utilities Authorities Joint Insurance Fund (the “JIF”), to be paid by the JIF.
- Weiner Law Group to provide Labor and Litigation Counsel services as needed by the Authority for a sum not to exceed $50,000.00.
- Weber Dowd Law, LLC, to provide General Counsel and Enforcement Counsel and other legal services that may be needed for a sum not to exceed $100,000.00.
- RBC Capital Markets, LLC to provide Financial Advisory Services and technical Consultation Services as needed by the Authority for a sum not to exceed $50,000.00.
- CME Associates as General Consulting Engineer to provide General Engineering services as needed by the Authority for a sum not to exceed $75,000.00.
- RWJ/Saint Barnabas Management Services to provide Employee Assistance Counseling Services as needed by the Authority for a sum not to exceed $1,000.00.
- Suplee Clooney and Company to perform Auditing Services as needed by the Authority for a sum not to exceed $38,000.00.
- Union County Healthcare Associates, to provide Medical Services as needed by the Authority for a sum not to exceed $2,500.00.
- Economic Planning Group to provide Retirement Planning Services as needed by the Authority. The Consultant shall receive as compensation the normal commissions paid by the insurance company. No compensation shall be paid to the Consultant by the Authority for any of the services to be provided in connection with this Contract.
- Rogut McMarthy, LLC to perform Bond Counsel services as needed by the Authority, not to exceed $25,000.00 except as authorized in connection with any financing, refinancing or related transactions.
- D&B Engineers to performs Facility Monitoring Services as needed by the Authority for a sum not to exceed $100,000.00.
- Clarity Technologies as the Managed Service Provider as needed by the Authority, for the time period of covering February 15, 2023 to April 15, 2023 for an amount not to exceed $5,330.00.
