2018 Disposal Notice

Notice to all Union County non contract municipalities, solid waste collectors & haulers and other solid waste facilities regarding 2018 tipping fees for solid waste disposal of all non-contract type 10 waste generated in the County of Union and disposed of at the Union County Resource Recovery Facility, Rahway, NJ

Pursuant to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection’s (NJDEP) Certification of the Union County District Solid Waste Management Plan, dated April 25, 2008 all Solid Waste Types 10 (municipal including household, commercial and institutional) generated within the County of Union, was directed to the Union County Resource Recovery Facility (UCRRF).

Please be advised that effective January 1, 2018 until December 31, 2018 the aggregate disposal fee for municipalities currently not under a voluntary disposal contract (referred to as Non-Contract Waste) with the UCUA, will be $107.00 per ton of Solid Waste Type 10 delivered to the UCRRF.

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has certified the Union County District Solid Waste Management Plan and authorizes the UCUA as the implementing agency responsible for enforcing waste flow within Union County.
